I read about Gertrude's passing in this morning's Globe.
I am sorry to hear she is gone. I knew her as a golfer at Winchester Country Club. She was part of a very classy set of what we thought were " the older crowd" in the Ladies golf group...Of course, my friends and I who all knew her and thought so much of her are now ourselves 'the older crowd' ! ;)
She was very highly regarded there and is missed. My husband David (who golfed with Ben) and I send our thoughts to you at this sad time.

Dear Paul and family,

My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. During our school days at St. Joseph's, I remember what a devoted mother she was. She was always friendly and gracious; what a lovely woman to have known.

God bless,
