Linda Mickalsen lost her long fight with ovarian cancer on November 29, 2020 at the age of 67. She passed with her family by her side; husband of 42 years Donald (of Port St. Lucie, FL), daughter Sarah and husband Darryl Osman (of Jacksonville Beach, FL), daughter Kristen (of Kalamazoo, MI), and beloved dog Zeus. Linda’s life was defined by her fighting spirit, as this battle with cancer was not her first. She chose to find the beauty in everyday life, and never had trouble with a laugh or a smirk. She was happiest in her garden, where she grew exotic orchids and tropical plants and fruit; look for Linda in a flower’s bloom. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and aunt. She leaves behind friends of all ages, many nieces and nephews and siblings Cindy Personeni, Denise and David DiNatale, and Jay Personeni. Due to COVID restrictions, graveside services will be held at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham MA on Saturday December 12 at 10:30, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. swdfuneralhome.com

Sarah, I am so very sorry and heartbroken for your loss. I know your mother was very special. The first thing you see in every picture of her is her smile. Her inner beauty was evident even though I never met her. I pray for you and your family for peace in knowing she is with you always.

Dear Donny, Cindy, Denise, Jay and all family members, please accept our love, prayers, and virtual hugs during such a difficult time. I have known Linda since she was ten years old, have watched her grow from a young child to a beautiful, loving and caring woman.
So enjoyed the picture of the Personeni kids together that Cindy posted on FB.
Blessings.

My heart breaks knowing that this vibrant and beautiful spirit is no longer with us. Linda was such an inspiration to those who knew her. Her glass half full attitude always shined through even when life threw her so many challenging curve balls. I was blessed for having known her and will treasure our friendship for years to come. Rest easy my friend you will be missed.
