Prayers and thoughts to the Mahoney Family, Mr. Mahoney was a wonderful teacher, coach, mentor and a beautiful human being. He taught and coached many members of the Corso and Rocha family over the years. When we lost our brother Lenny 7 years ago, he generously came to our aid and supported the fundraisers we had each year in Lenny's memory. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Mahoney was great teacher and an even better personality. I have such fond memories of his classes, and mostly his sense of humor. His teaching is why I went on to study history at Gettysburg. So sorry for your loss.

" A friend is a present you give to yourself" Jim was the best present I ever recieved. For values, blue collar work ethic and stoism I now stand on three pillers my father, Bert Willis and Jim Mahoney. Jim's faith in God was aboslute. I will love Jim for eternity.

A great friend who I'll miss a lot. Talked regularly with Jim on the phone. Never knew a more genuine and honest person who cared about his friends and people in general. He kept retired Belmont teachers informed about each other; always sharing news and happenings. It's hard to believe that I won't be hearing from him again.

Dear Mahoney Family,
My deepest condolences to you. I was so sad to hear about this; I had been trying to get in touch with him all summer to be one of our special guests-of-honor event. He was so well loved in the Belmont school system, sports, and it was very meaningful how I became friends with him outside of the school.

I will pass the news onto the BHS alumni and teachers.
May he stay in your hearts and memory forever,

Hana Asazuma-Cheng

I'll be 61 years old next week but Jim was always Mr. Mahoney to me as he was a teacher at Belmont High School where I attended. Though I did not have the privilege of having him as my teacher I still learned through him. He respected all and carried himself in a way that command respect in return. Mr. Mahoney was a daily fixture at Planet Fitness where we reunited and caught up on each others lives. I will sure miss our conversations about anything and everything and his great sense of humor. He was a true gentlemen. He had class. To all Mr. Mahoney's family and friends, I am very sorry for your loss......our loss.
