Anne C. (Claflin) Allen

ALLEN, Anne C. (Claflin) of Belmont, entered into rest at home on Friday, February 20, 2015.  Born in Cambridge, Anne had been a longtime resident of Winchester and Belmont.  Daughter of the late William H. Claflin and Helen A. (Atkins).  Wife of the late Eugene F. Allen.  Dear sister of Katharine C. Weeks of Belmont, Helen C. Spring of Concord and the late William H. Claflin, III.  Loving aunt of 23 nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and dear friend to many.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anne’s Memorial Service in the First Church in Belmont, Unitarian, 404 Concord Ave. Belmont, Friday Feb. 27 at  11:30  a.m.  Former 14 year member of Belmont Town Meeting and late member of the Belmont Women’s Club, Belmont Historical Society, Belmont Garden League, League of Women Voters, Friends of the McLean Hospital and the Habitat for Humanities.  In lieu of flowers,  contributions in Anne’s memory to Seasons Hospice Foundation, 275 Grove St. Ste. 3-102, Newton, MA 02466 or to the Belmont Historical Society, 336 Concord Ave. Belmont, MA 02478, would be sincerely appreciated.  www.swdfuneralhome.com Arrangements by: Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, Belmont.
