Of Lexington, formerly of Belmont. July 14th. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Lenk moved to Belmont when she married the late Richard Van Siclen Lenk in 1952. She is survived by daughters Erica Emmet and her husband Henry of Groton, Allison Lenk and her husband Sebastian Kossak of Belmont, two grandchildren, Henry Emmet Jr. of Bayside, NY and Stephanie Emmet of Cambridge, and a cousin, Edward Stevenson, of New York, NY. A graduate of the The Packer Collegiate Institute and Middlebury College, Mrs. Lenk worked for The New York Times before moving to Massachusetts. She later earned a Master’s degree at the Simmons School of Social Work and worked for many years as a Clinical Social Worker for the Cambridge Guidance Center. She was an active volunteer with a number of organizations including the Junior League of Boston, Cambridge Camping Association, the League of Women Voters, Rutland Corner House, and The Buckingham School. She was a longtime member of the Belmont Hill Club. Known for her quick wit and irreverent sense of humor, Mrs. Lenk will be missed by many. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 17,2016 at 11 a.m, in the Story Chapel at Mt. Auburn Cemetery , 580 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge.
