Carl W. Garland

GARLAND, Carl W. of Lexington, formerly of Belmont,  died on July 11, 2017 at age 87 from Multiple Myeloma.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joan, a daughter Leslie Garland of Maynard, MA and a son, Andrew, and his wife, Helene and 3 grandchildren, Rachel, Justin and Daniel of Wyckoff, NJ.  He also is survived by a brother, David Garland of Minneapolis, MN.  Carl was born in Bangor, ME and was a Professor of Physical Chemistry at M.I.T. for over 40 years before his retirement in 1997  Contributions in Carl’s memory to www.friendsofacadia.org. would be sincerely appreciated.   www.swdfuneralhome.com
