MARTINEZ, Ethel D. “Edie” (Schaub) of Belmont, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 26, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 82 years old.  Born in Lackawanna, New York, Edie was a longtime resident of Belmont.  Edie was self-employed working in legal research.  She was the wife of the late Ferdinand Martinez.  Dear and devoted mother of Pablo Martinez and John Martinez. Sister of the late Evelyn Rosemary Schaub, Margaret Mary Schaub and Clarence James Schaub.  Loving grandmother of Rafael Michael Martinez of Waltham and Christopher Martinez of Holyoke.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edie’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home,  52 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT,  Thursday, November 29 from 6-8 p.m.  Her funeral Mass will be on Friday in St. Jude’s Church, 147 Main St. Waltham at 10 a.m. Please meet at the Church.  Burial will be private.  www.swdfuneralhome.com
