TRAVERS, Fernando P. “Freddie” of Cambridge, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loving and caring family. Freddie was a retired letter carrier retiring in 1986 from the United States Postal Service. Beloved husband of the late Helen A. (Grando) Travers. Dear and devoted father of Patricia A. Welin and her husband, Frank of Dunbarton, NH. Brother of the late Edward Traves. Loving grandfather of Deborah Pelletier, Eric Welin and his wife, Melissa and Jason Welin and great-grandfather of Kathryn Kingsbury, Caleb Welin, Nicholas and Trevor Pelletier. Dear uncle of Linda McCarthy, Gloria Filipek and Buddy Traves. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Freddie’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Road, BELMONT, Sunday, Sept. 29 from 3-6 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Peter’s Church, 100 Concord Ave., Cambridge at 10 o’clock.
