George Dana Bolton, Jr.

BOLTON, George Dana, Jr. of Center Ossippi, NH,  entered into rest on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.  He was born in Boston and has lived in Center Ossippi for many years.  George worked in retail sales for a variety of fur companies in and around the Boston area.  He was the son of the late George D. Bolton, II and Elizabeth  (Hutton) Bolton.  Beloved husband of Gladys F. (Batstone) for over 42 years.  Dear and devoted father of Abby George and her husband, Matthew of Shrewsbury, Elizabeth Stanley and her husband, Michael of Waltham, and George Bolton, IV and his wife, Meredith of Waltham. Dear cousin of Dr. Philip Bolton and his wife, Rev. Linda of Gilmanton, NH.  Loving grandfather of Emma and Alexander George, Rebecca Stanley and Allie, George V, and Elsie Bolton.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend George’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Road, BELMONT, Thursday, Feb. 16 from 4-8 p.m.  His funeral service will be on Friday in the Redeemer Fellowship Church, 111 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown at  11 a.m.  Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mattapan.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in George’s memory to the First Congregational Church “Mission Fund”.
