Grace Elizabeth Johnston

Grace Elizabeth Johnston, beloved wife of the late Edward F. Johnston and mother of Paul E. Johnston (Kamuela, HI) and Mary L. Johnston (Belmont), passed away peacefully at her home on December 17th. In addition to her son and daughter, she leaves her son-in-law Richard V. Sailor; daughter-in-law Susan L. Sanderson; three grandchildren, Jonathan Sailor, Emily Johnston, and McCrae Johnston; and two nieces, Lorna Dwyer and Willa Correnti, and their families (Connecticut.)

Grace was born in Hartford, CT in 1916 and lived in West Hartford before moving to Belmont in 1987. She worked in the actuarial department of the Travelers Insurance Company. Grace loved children and volunteered extensively in the Hartford Public Schools and at the Wellington School in Belmont. Grace also volunteered for the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and for the Belmont Council on Aging. Donations can be made to The Perkins School for the Blind (175 N.
