James Ellard Obituary

ELLARD, James V. of Belmont,   MA, entered into rest on Sunday, November 22, 2015.  Jim was born and raised in Quincy, MA and lived in Belmont for over 50 years.  He was a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and received his MBA from Boston College.  Jim was veteran of the U.S. Navy and had a long career as a sales and marketing executive.  Beloved husband of Janice M. (Zammitti) Ellard.  Dear and devoted father of James V. Ellard, Jr. and his wife, Heidi of Boxford, MA,  Alicia Cannon and her husband, Edward of Norfolk, MA and Matthew J. Ellard and his wife, Susanne of Waltham, MA. Brother of  the late Mary Ellard, Marguerite Conlon, Virginia Walker and George Ellard.  Loving grandfather of James, III, Joseph and Michael Ellard, Deirdre, Jack and Joseph Cannon and Kaitlyn and Sabrina Ellard.  Beloved brother-in-law of Mary A. Zammitti of Belmont, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jim’s visiting hours in Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home,  52 Trapelo Road, BELMONT, Sunday, Nov. 29 from 3-7 p.m.  His  funeral Mass will be on  Monday  in St. Joseph’s Church, 130 Common St., Belmont at 11 a.m.  Interment, with Military Honors, Lakeside Cemetery, 501 North Ave., Wakefield.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108   would be sincerely appreciated.  www.swdfuneralhome.com
