Jane V. (Brannan) Spencer

SPENCER, Jane V. (Brannan) of Dalton, formerly of Pittsfield and Peabody, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Sugar Hill Assisted Living in Dalton.  She was 80 years of age.  Born in Somerville,  Jane  resided in Dalton for a few years. An administrative assistant by  profession, Jane worked at Brandeis University  for over 44 years, retiring in  1999.  Beloved wife of the late Richard L. Spencer.  Daughter of the late Helen (Mahoney) and Hawley Brannan.  Step-mother of Mark Shunamon and his wife, Christine of Pittsfield.  Sister of the late Rita, Francis, Winston, Thomas and Hawley Brannan, Jr., Noreen Smith, Mary Roy and Helen Helbert.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jane’s graveside service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 999 Belmont St., Watertown, Tuesday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jane’s  memory to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 877 South St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 would be sincerely appreciated.  www.swdfuneralhome.com.   Arrangements by: Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, Belmont.
