June Macfarlane of Belmont passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was 88 years old. June was born in Kent, England, on the brink of WWII. After enduring many hardships stemming from the war, she emigrated to the US at age 17. Starting her new life in Washington DC, June eventually made her way to the Boston area where she met and married her husband John. Together they made Belmont their home for over 50 years, raising 5 children. June worked as an Administrative Assistant and retired from Arthur D. Little after 20 years of service. June is remembered with profound affection as the beloved wife of the late Charles John Macfarlane; dear and devoted mother of Kimberley Bry, Craig Macfarlane and his wife, Margo, Andrew Macfarlane and his wife, Mary K., Jennifer Campisi and her husband, James, and Nancy Murphy and her husband, John. June is also survived by 14 loving grandchildren.
Relatives, friends, and those whose lives June touched are invited to honor her life at a Memorial Service to be held at Plymouth Congregational Church, 582 Pleasant St., Belmont, Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:30 a.m, immediately followed by a reception in Gardner Hall.
