In what could be described as one of the boldest efforts to avoid another New England winter, Linda Ann (Reid) Fanciullo passed away on November 20, 2025. A nearly lifelong resident of Arlington (and later Plymouth), Linda lived with energy, passion and kindness. Linda’s family and friends take comfort in the happiest of memories of times spent with her at family gatherings, on golf courses and club houses at Oakley Country Club and Pinehills in Plymouth ,and everywhere in between. An avid tennis player who hated to cook, Linda lived a great life.
Linda leaves behind John, her beloved husband of 53 years and children J.A. (and Marli Porth) of Newton and Robin Araujo (Brian) of Hopedale. She will be missed by loving grandchildren Avery, Ethan and Amelie who affectionately called her Lovie (“Grandma” or the like was forbidden). She also leaves behind her brother David Reid (Mary) of New Hampshire and brother-in law and sister in-law Bob and Gale Fanciullo of Medford, nieces Diane, Judy, Kim and Pamela, nephew Bobby, and extended family. Her family and cherished friends will carry on her zeal for life!
She is predeceased by parents Virginia and Martin E. Reid and brother Martin “Buddy” Reid all of Arlington.
With boundless gratitude, the Fanciullo family thanks Linda’s aide, Kelsey, and the hospice nurses at Norwell VNA and Hospice. The kindness and compassionate care provided to Linda, John, J.A. and Robin during the most challenging of times is proof that there are angels that walk amongst us.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Norwell VNA and Hospice and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
In her own words, even in the darkest of times, “I am fine.”
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Linda's visitation in the Short, Williamson & Diamond, 52 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Eulalia's Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 11 a.m. Interment at the Mt.
