FORTUNA, Margaret M. “Peg” (Pennino) of Belmont, entered into rest at home surrounded by her family on Monday, June 12, 2017. She was 84 years old. Peg was born in Belmont and was a lifelong resident. She volunteered for many years at St. Joseph's Church assisting with the daily Masses. She was the daughter of the late Archimede and Adeline (Carideo) Pennino. Beloved wife of the late Sam J. Fortuna. Dear and devoted mother of Marianne Wigglesworth and Margaret Fortuna and her partner, Peggy Tippett of Belmont and James J. Fortuna. Sister of Fred Pennino and his wife, Flora of Arlington and Theresa Bernard of Hopkinton. Loving grandmother of Marissa and Andrew John Wigglesworth. Peg is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Peg’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, Thursday, June 15 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 8 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, 130 Common St., Belmont, at 9 o’clock. Interment Highland Meadow Cemetery, Belmont.
