Martin Cohen Obituary

COHEN, Martin Leonard "Marty" Age 92, of Cambridge, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022. His beloved wife Betty died in 2004. He is survived by his two sisters; three children, Susan, Daniel, and Margaret; and three grandchildren, William, Daniel and Madeleine. His two brothers predeceased him. Born in 1929 in NYC, Marty graduated from The Bronx High School of Science and Cornell University, and continued studies at Harvard and MIT. He enjoyed a wonderful and varied engineering career at Arthur D. Little. An active citizen in Belmont, Marty served on Town Meeting for 43 years, two school building committees, Zoning Bylaws and Board of Appeals, and the Historical Society. He volunteered with Cub Scouts, PTA, and CODE hotline, Boston's Partners in Education, Charlestown Navy Yard and Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation. Being an avid watch and clock repairman, he wound the Belmont Town clock for years. Funeral arrangements will be private.
