Michael James Sziy

SZIY, Michael James entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 1, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was 87 years old.  Born in Allentown, PA, Michael lived in Belmont for a few years.  He worked for Mack Trucks in truck maintenance. Mike was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving during the Vietnam Era.  He was happiest being with family and visiting the casino.   Mike was the beloved husband of JoAnn C. (Podorsky) Miechur for over 23 years; the dear and devoted father of Jill Babcock and her husband, Christopher of Belmont and Joseph Miechur of PA;  the loving grandfather of Trevor Miechur, Veronica Miechur, Madeleine Babcock, Henry Babcock, William Babcock and Charlotte Babcock.
