Patrick R. Vidette

VIDETTE, Patrick R. of Belmont, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge after a period of failing health.  He was 80 years old.  Born in the West End section of Boston, Pat lived in Belmont for most of his life.  He was the proprietor along with his wife, Peg,  of the  former Italian Food Shoppe in Belmont Center for many years.  Husband of the late Margaret T. "Peg" (Tecci) Vidette.  Dear and devoted father of Teresa "Terri" F. Vidette of Belmont.  Brother of the late Victor Vidette.  Pat is also survived by several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Pat's visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Road, BELMONT, Thursday from 5-8 p.m.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 8 a.m.  followed by his funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 130 Common St., Belmont, at 9 a.m.  Interment services are private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patrick' s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be sincerely appreciated.
