Paul Martin Obituary
Paul Ballard Martin passed away at the age of 86, spending his final hours joined by his loving family, on August 24, 2020.
Paul was born 1933 in Kitchener, Ontario to Margaret Audrey Martin of York, Ontario, and Albert Stanley Martin of Waterloo, Ontario.
A talented musician and singer, Paul emigrated to the United States of America in the 1960s, settling in Boston in the early 1970s, where he met his wife, Eleanor, in the Musica Sacra choral ensemble.
Paul studied at the University of Toronto, and primarily worked as a Mechanical Designer & Draftsman in the Boston area at Digital Equipment Corporation.
Beloved husband of 48 years, he is survived by his wife Eleanor Ruth Martin, and his sons Stephen Gregory Martin, and Christopher John Martin, as well as his daughter-in-law Maria Fernandes Fragoso Martin, and grandson Henry Thomas Martin. He is predeceased by his son Thomas Franklin Martin.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, or to Jordan Hall, via the New England Conservatory.
