Richard A. Lindsey, born May 23, 1949, in Easton, MD, passed away in peace Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of sixty-nine in his home in Hopedale, MA. He graduated from McDonogh School in Baltimore, MD where he was awarded the Compassion Cup. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University before beginning his career in the furniture business. Rick worked in sales for Wesley Hall of Hickory, NC for 29 years where he helped launch the Northeast chapter of their business. He also worked closely with the Clark Family of Clark Furniture in New Castle, PA for five years to launch their New Leaf furniture line. Rick was loved by many for his quick wit, boisterous laugh, and most importantly, for his legacy of kindness. He was a devoted team player and he put others before himself. He was the oldest child of his now deceased immediate family—his parents Barbara and Erwin and brothers Robert and Jeffrey. Rick is survived by his niece, nephews, and sister-in-laws—Robert F. Lindsey, Jr of New York, NY; Ardith V. DePietro and her two children Curran and Davis DePietro of Rumson, NJ; Davis V. Lindsey of New Paltz, NY; and Stacy Curran Lindsey of Bay Head, NJ; John Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey, and Katie Lindsey of Potomac, MD. Rick is also survived by his devoted friends, the Arslanian family of Belmont, MA; Mike Farrell of Charlotte, NC; Chris Romano of Plymouth, MA; and the Panzera family of Millbury, MA.
