Robert DeCourcy Ward

WARD, Robert DeCourcy of Belmont, unexpectedly, Feb. 18, 2014 in the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  He was 81 years of age.  Born in Cambridge, Robert lived in Belmont for over 50 years.  He was a retired banker, working in various capacities of banking.  Robert was a member of the Board of Directors of the Belmont Savings Bank; a member of the Belmont Hill Club; and a member of the Apollo Club.   Beloved husband of Margaret M. E. (Kingdon) Ward for over 54 years.  Dear and devoted father of Michael Ward and his wife, Laura of Wellesley and Jonathan Ward and his wife, Catherine of Port Townsend, WA.  Brother of Janet Stephens of FL.  Loving grandfather of Andrew, Matthew and Aliza Ward.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robert’s funeral service in the Story Chapel at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt.
