Severino "Sevy" Sartor

SARTOR, Severino “Sevy” of Belmont and Kennebunk, ME,  entered into rest on September 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving and caring family.  He was 92 years old.  Born in Boston, Sevy resided in Belmont for over 60 years. Sevy received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an Associates Degree in Electronics Design.  He was a senior business analyst for Dun and Bradstreet for over 40 years. Sevy proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Army, 26th  Infantry, Yankee Division during World War II and when discharged attained the rank of Staff Seargent. Beloved husband of the late Marie J. (Bianco) Sartor for over 64 years.  Dear and devoted father of Steven Sartor and his wife, Carole of Andover, Edward Sartor of Framingham and Lynne Maloof and her husband, George of Sudbury.  Devoted brother of Mary Ruka of Conway, NH, Henry Sartor of Riverside, CA., and the late Amelia Rogers and Louise Page.   Loving “Papa” of Ericka Sartor and her husband, Tom Michalik, Randal Sartor and Alexandra, Jacqueline and Kristianna Maloof.  Severino is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Severino’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home,  52 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 6-8 p.m.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday at 8 a.m.  followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, 130 Common St., Belmont at 9 o’clock.  Interment, with military honors, at the Belmont Cemetery.  Late longtime member of the Belmont Town Club, Sons of Italy, Arlington and the Retired Men’s Club of Arlington.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Severino's memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,  501 St,.
