Shirley M. (Mickalsen) Long

LONG, Shirley M. (Mickalsen) of Groton, VT,  entered into rest unexpectedly on  March 21, 2014 in the Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, New Hampshire.  She was 73 years of age.  Born in Waltham, Shirley lived in Groton for many years.  She was involved with the Ayer High School Booster's Club and active with Pack 32 Cub Scouts.  Beloved wife of Elden E. Long.  Daughter of the late Robert and Vera (MacLeod) Mickalsen.  Dear and devoted mother of Donna Robinson and her husband, Daniel of Groton, VT, Jennifer Farley and her husband, Tym of Shirley, Brian Long and his fiance’ Shelley of Fitchburg and the late Lynn Ellen Duzuk.  Dear sister of  Dorothy Camerato of Manchester, NH and Donald L. Mickalsen of Port  St. Lucie, FL.  Also surviving are 8 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Shirley's visitation period in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT,  Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. with a  funeral service to follow 11 o’clock.
