Virginia Catherine (D'Unger) Doherty

- Virginia Catherine (D’Unger) Doherty of Waltham and Dennis, June 14. She entered into rest in Chatham at age 98. She was born in Boston. Virginia was retired from Bentley University where she worked for many years as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Beloved wife of the late Francis X. Doherty. Dear and devoted mother of Kathleen F. Doherty of Bedford, D. Brian Doherty and his wife, Pamela of Nashua, NH, Jeanne Marie Severdija of Brewster, and Kevin J. Doherty and his wife, Charlotte of Cumberland, RI. Sister of the late Robert D’Unger. Virginia is also survived by 11 loving grandchildren, 5 loving great-grandchildren and baby, Emilia to be born in July. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Virginia’s visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Rd. BELMONT, Thursday, June 22 from 5-7 p.m. Her funeral Mass,Friday, June 23 in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 857 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. (Please meet at Church).
