PISANO, William C. of Belmont, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.  He was 83 years old.  Born in Santa Clara, California, Bill lived in Belmont for many years. A graduate of Harvard University with a PhD, Bill was a Civil and Environmental Engineer. He was a Board member of Woodwell Climate Research Center and was an active member of Research Gate.  He was the beloved husband of Rosemary Hoey-Pisano for over 54 years; dear and devoted father of Liam (William) and his wife, Lauren Monahan Pisano and Jessica Tobin Pisano and her husband, Andre Simoni); loving grandfather of Trey (William III) Pisano, Quinn Matthew Pisano and Oscar Pisano Simoni;  dear brother of Mark A. Pisano and his wife, Jane and Mary Ann Gardner  and her husband, Terry Struven.  Bill is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bill's visiting hours in the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home,  52 Trapelo Road, BELMONT, Wednesday, April 3 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.  His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church 130 Common St., Belmont, Thursday, April 4 at 10 a.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers,  contributions in William's memory to Woodwell Climate Research Center, 149 Woods Hole Road, Falmouth, MA 02540 (woodwellclimate.org) would be sincerely appreciated.  swdfuneralhome.com
